Friendship Village and GreenFields Earn Prestigious Readers' Choice Awards

For the fourth consecutive year, Friendship Senior Options’ senior retirement communities, Friendship Village of Schaumburg and GreenFields of Geneva, were both named “Best Retirement/Assisted Living Communities” in the Chicagoland area’s Daily Herald Readers’ Choice Awards.

Friendship Senior Options is the parent organization of Friendship Village and GreenFields of Geneva.

“There are many retirement communities in the Chicagoland area, and we are honored to repeatedly be chosen as the best of the best. We have exceptionally high standards for delivering services to older adults. We are proud to have our efforts recognized by the Daily Herald’s large and knowledgeable readership,” said Stephen A. Yenchek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Friendship Senior Options. “We work hard, cementing our reputation as a nationally recognized leader of exemplary senior-centered services.  These awards are proof that we uphold an exceptionally high standard of excellence.”

Friendship Senior Options also received an award for being “The Best Place to Work” in the Daily Herald Readers’ Choice Awards. “We recognize that our employees are our most valuable resource and seek to instill a work environment that is fulfilling and inspiring. This award is very humbling and rewarding,” said Yenchek.

Friendship Village, which just celebrated its 39th anniversary, is one of the largest retirement communities in the nation and has won numerous awards for its innovative lifestyles programming.  GreenFields of Geneva first opened the doors of its beautiful community four years ago and in a short time, has already established itself as a leader.

Both GreenFields and Friendship Village offer a complete continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory support and skilled care, while providing an exceptional lifestyle.

Daily Herald, one of the Chicago area’s top media sources, has a readership of more than 900,000, who were encouraged to vote for these prestigious awards.
