Mr. Paul J. Schaffhausen served with honor, integrity and distinction for fifteen years on the Board of Directors for Friendship Senior Options and its affiliates. Paul provided outstanding leadership and worked with diligence, compassion and vigor to achieve the goals set forth, earning him the respect and affection of his peers and with his passing, left a deep void of sadness in our communities. Paul championed the importance of education and lifelong learning, sharing his knowledge with all of us for the betterment of our communities and society. In his memory, Friendship Senior Options Foundation renamed the scholarship program in 2019 to the Paul J. Schaffhausen Memorial Scholarships.
Our mantra is Get Set. Forged in friendship, our preparation for the future is driven by curiosity, innovation and leadership. Education is key to this preparation. Our Foundation is pleased to announce the creation and funding of our newest initiative to invest in young adults preparing to Get Set through higher education. Through the generosity of donors, our Foundation fulfills our organization’s philanthropic objectives, empowering our community to build a better tomorrow. We’re proud to announce the addition of this scholarship program and look forward to supporting the outstanding students who win this year’s awards.
